Rumah Selangorku

The main Selangor State Housing Policy is to realise the goal of ‘One Family of One Perfect Home’. This is to ensure that every citizen or family has a good, comfortable and safe place to live. The State Government has introduced a new housing concept that is Affordable Homes which provides more comfort in terms of size, design and community.

Rumah Selangorku is targeted to both low- and middle-income groups in Selangor. Now, Low Cost Houses, Medium Low Cost Houses, Medium Cost Houses and Affordable Houses are known as Selangorku Houses.

Selection Screening process
Eligibility Criteria 1.     You must be a Malaysian citizen

2.     You must be aged 18 and above.

3.     Your minimum income for Temporary House Type B, C and D applications is set at RM3,001 per month.

4.     Your household income (husband & wife) not exceeding RM3,000 per month is permitted for Type A application, while household income from RM3,001.00 to RM10,000 per month is allowed for Type B, C and D applications.

5.     If your household income does not exceed RM3,000 per month, you are allowed to choose Type B, C or D. For household income exceeding RM3,001 per month, application for Type A is not allowed.

6.     You are only allowed to make a choice of 1 type of house only – whether type A, B, C, or D.

7.     You or your spouse do not own a house either through government or private projects in Selangor.

8.     Transfer of application is only allowed after 5 years from the Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with the permission of the State Authority.

9.     Your purchase of a house is for living only, and not for rent.

10.  The validity period for each application is 2 years. After that period, your application data which is still on the waiting list will be released from the system and you will have to make a new application if you are still interested to apply for Selangorku Houses.

Documents Required 1.     Copy of applicant’s, and spouse’s and dependents NRIC

2.     Copy of marriage certificate (if any)

3.     Letter of employemnt confirmation from employer or income verification from Commissioner of Oaths if self-employed for unmarried applicants

4.     Latest payslips or confirmation of income from Commissioner for Oaths if self-employed

5.     Statutory declaration from swearing-in commissioner if the spouse does not work

6.     EPF statement (if any)

7.     Copy of utility bills

8.     Reports and records of applicants and couples in the Central Credit Reference Information System (CCRIS) or CTOS that report CCRIS reports and records

Constraints  

• Resale is forbidden inside 5 years
• Not allowed to rent out
